Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) operates as follows. After a brief talk about legal requirements and road users knowledge, you will learn the basic machine control. This will be conducted well away from traffic at an off-road location.

When your instructor considers that you have safe control your bike , you can then venture onto the road under the instructors supervision.

Your instructor will be in radio contact with you, and when he judges you are competent to ride unaccompanied you will be awarded your Compulsory Basic Training certificate, (this certificate will now entitle you to ride on the road unacompaned, this document in officially part of your driving licence)

The course is conducted on a learner legal machine: either a 50cc bike for 16 year olds, or a 125 machine for students aged 17 or older. Remember if you do not have a bike you can use one of our machines from 50cc upwards.

The course normally takes 5 hours, although if extra practise is required there is no additional charge.
